Open Year Round! Cross in the Woods Catholic Shrine of Indian River is located in Indian River, Michigan. The Shrine is home to the largest crucifix in the world. The grounds are open 365 days a year from dusk to dawn. While visiting, be sure to view all shrines, the doll museum and gift shop. Weekday and weekend masses are held year round and seasonally weather permitting, outdoors.
