PUBLIC DATA (sources listed in description) MOBILITY • Barrier-free entrance on 19th Street • Rear elevator near the 19th Street entrance serves all floors; front elevator serves the main level, mezzanine and second level • Building is wheelchair accessible, but its age can make navigation difficult • Limited wheelchairs available on request RESTROOMS • All restroom stalls accommodate wheelchairs and have railings • Ground-level restrooms have automatic doors DEAF / HARD OF HEARING • Free sign language interpretation — book at least 2 weeks ahead (215-299-1060) BLIND / LOW VISION & HANDS-ON • Outside In (3rd level): specimens to handle or smell and live animals to touch • The Big Dig (Dinosaur Hall mezzanine): dig for dinosaur bones • Touchable dinosaur skulls and hands-on displays in Dinosaur Hall OTHER • Active service animals welcome in all programs and exhibits (groups should notify Visitor Services; animals in training need prior permission) • One caregiver/aide accompanying a guest with disabilities admitted free
